The summer conference occurred over two weekends.  The first weekend was a general membership meeting in which Randy McDaniel of Pennsylvania gave a two day demonstration.  He demonstrated hollow forming, press-work and much more.  Helmut Hillenkamp hosted the events at his shop in Santa Fe.

 

The second weekend was a hands on workshop.  Students watched Randy give a demonstration on a technique and then they went to work creating their own projects utilizing the concept Randy taught.  The hydraulic presses were used to create many pressed works of art.  Texturing was demonstrated.  The creation of negative dies was used to allow production of positive images in copper, brass, bronze and mild steel.
