At my forge in northern New Mexico, I create handcrafted ironwork that marries traditional blacksmithing techniques with contemporary design. Inspired by the rugged beauty of the high desert and the great Southwest, my work spans decorative ironwork, sculptural ironwork, and functional art, all forged by hand from raw materials like steel, iron, and copper.

My journey into blacksmithing began in 1967 under the mentorship of Francis Whittaker, a master artist-blacksmith, at the Colorado Rocky Mountain School. This early experience, along with studies in engineering, pottery, and music, has shaped my multidisciplinary approach to ironwork. Over the years, I have continued to hone my craft through workshops and conferences with the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America (ABANA) and the New Mexico Artist Blacksmith Association (NMABA).

In addition to creating iron art, I hold a New Mexico Commercial Contractor’s License (GB-98), which allows me to integrate my handcrafted designs into architectural projects across the state. My collections include hand-forged sculpturesarchitectural lightingfurniture, and home accessories. I am open to collaborating with clients who have ideas for custom designs or unique modifications, ensuring that each piece reflects their individual style and vision.
